Organised by the Education Business Partnership (EBP) in Kent, which works to bring together schools and employers, the day provided youngsters with the opportunity to work with marine employers and take part in hands-on activities with the overall aim of promoting careers in the maritime industry, a broad and varied area of work. In Tonbridge the sun shone which meant the Fair could take place on the front plaza where there was a great atmosphere.
