This is more for the figure it out, use your brain kind of audience. The twist were at the right place and everyone says the acting was bad. This was a very suspenseful and purposeful movie. Now I went in knowing that it had a 4.7/10 average (at the moment) which does indeed sound low, but with general urban movies with a predominantly black cast a low rating is not out of the ordinary. Forrest Whitaker always KILLS everything he does and Anthony Mackie was PERFECT. Angel proves to be "crazy like a fox," inducing one of the killers to off himself while he still has enough pieces left to do the trick. Not a bad film but the end leaves you wanting and that's enough to spoil it. Mike Epps should be taken out back and scolded for his so called acting skills. This has been a tough week movie-wise for me. The acting is great from these two and the movie stays pretty tense the entire time but it was also a little draggy in some parts and I found it hard to totally stay focused on. Solid although not usually exceptional acting from the cast carries this movie well enough, while the performance by Forest Whitaker is quite strong (but I tend to expect that from him).
| Between the trailer and the first scene I had the basic plot figured out which left to real no jaw dropping surprises. This is a movie that I had no idea what to expect out of it. The acting in this movie was good enough. The writing is horrendous. Forest Whitaker was amazing as expected but the rest of the cast was mediocre. There were no effects or any even relatively expensive looking sequences.

I recommend this movie to anybody who loves movies that make you think and that don't just hand their ending out to you on a silver platter.
