Also, some items aren't active until you go into another area, do something and come back. However, the ending was a bit of an anti-climax, but the journey to get there, more than made up for it! The adventure begins as Martin arrives at the site and finds that the contact he was supposed to meet has been murdered. The dialog is at times poorly translated, and whatever cleverness may have been in the original Czech is butchered for an English audience. Whether Martin is exploring the streets of Prague or the depths of a Mayan pyramid (the game features 80 locations), the graphics surely satisfy your desire for eye candy. It features an eclectic story filled with Nazis, ancient Mayans, and space aliens. Luckily, none of these in NiBiRu. This isn’t a game I’d recommend for beginners as it is not easy but I loved it as the variety of scenes and areas are there, good amount of interaction and things to do as some LF games can be nearly pure dialogue which I find boring. Also, a couple of the puzzles were haaaaaaard! I really felt like Indiana Jones lol. There are few adventure games whose stories I care to read in novel form, and this game definitely fits into such category. It's not quite on par with games such as Syberia 1&2, but a good find nonetheless!
Without doubt, the most appealing aspect of NiBiRu: Age of Secrets is its lush, immaculate graphics - all rendered in 1024x768 truecolor resolution. It is quite disconcerting with the black cutscenes and the voiceover but be patient it does pass. Still, not all of the puzzles in NiBiRu: Age of Secrets are insipid. Except for the beads puzzle towards the end of the game it has some sort of easy puzzles that you cannot skip. Most unfortunately, the voice acting is cringe worthy, particularly that of Martin. The good story line, awesome graphics. You combine things in your inventory.
Very challenging. An excellent game! Quality tested and virus free. Enter the email address you use for your Big Fish account.
But it's worth it, as are all the rest of the wonderful mysteries contained in this game. Martin Holan is sent to Prague to examine a mysterious World War II tunnel. If you like these kind of games I say go for it. And I am definitely not into games that are nothing more than a tedious succession of HOS - sadly enough, I have to comply with HOS in most so-called adventure games. NiBiRu: Age of Secrets is a mystery-adventure game that incorporates ancient Mayan civilization, Nazi secrets, and extraterrestrials. The only thing that lacked was no clues at all, no sparkles and no skipping puzzles. The game feels as if the story comes first and the implementation a distant second, to the extent that the developer is unsure how to make puzzles that are relevant to the story. Anyway, once I got under way, I really got into the game. Pick a username you like and can share with others. It's a shame about the ending though, very anti-climatic, indeed. I have to confess that I very much like this kind of game where you have to explore different locations, follow a storyline, combine objects from an inventory to find solutions to given problems or situations. The puzzles in NiBiRu: Age of Secrets range from the really clever to the hopelessly inane. It takes some time -- even hours to solve! While most players probably find this situation amusing, I can easily imagine players who may be sorely offended by it.
Many scenes are rendered so beautifully that you may catch yourself making screenshots to use as desktop backgrounds. You need to remember to right click as well as left click on everything you see, and as well as that to right click on items in your inventory bar.
