Carroll was born to parents who were first cousins; almost all of their eleven children, three girls and seven boys, struggled with stuttering past childhood. Currently, "Kool Bob Love" produces his b-ball tournament Full Court 21™ in four continents, and is touring the debut Stretch & Bobbito + the M19s Band album titled NO REQUESTS on 10x Grammy Award winner Eddie Palmieri's Uprising Music label. The recent Disney version of Lewis Carroll’s classic, Alice in Wonderland, garnered a great deal of media hype. Director Jim White has just finished writing the script for a feature film on Bob Love's life. The longtime supporter of the Stuttering Foundation drew national attention to childhood stuttering in 2006 when he submitted an article about Tiger Woods from the SFA newsletter to the Congressional Record. MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Oct. 22, 2007) — The Stuttering Foundation awarded the documentary, Find Yourself a Dream: The Bob Love Story, its 2007 first-place media award. One judge said, “It demonstrated that even with all the adversity in his life, Bob Love never gave up. All Rights Reserved. His love for animals began when he was very young. Bob Love and Tyree Judie from the Love Family Band talk about the documentary, "The Is Love," which follows the story of the iconic group. A special $1,000 cash prize will be presented to Bob Love and America’s Film Fund to celebrate the Foundation’s 60th year. “Journalists in a variety of media have done an outstanding job of focusing on the causes and treatment of stuttering over the past year,” said Jane Fraser, president of the nonprofit foundation. “Jimmy Carter: Rock & Roll President” is a new documentary that chronicles the role music had in helping get Georgia’s own Jimmy Carter into the White House. “Bob is more than a great basketball star and community leader,” said Fraser.
